The county of Kangping is located in the north of Shenyang city, 110km from the urban area, covering an area of 2,175 square kilometers, with a population of 370,000. Its urbanization level is 40%.

Kangping has convenient transportation, and a number of national and provincial roads as well as expressways passing through.
