Zhangjiagang International Business Park
Zhangjiagang International Business Park aims to serve as a center of modern business, a hub of brand operation, a pioneer of innovation and intelligence industry, as well as an area known for its modern and stylish environment.
It will initiate the construction of an international business zone, Jiuzhou International Plaza, an urban complex, and Binhe International Commercial Street, with a total investment of 13 billion yuan ($2.11 billion) and a construction area of 1.6 million square meters.
The international business zone covers an area of 95,334 square meters and its total construction area is about 430,000 sqms.
It was invested with 3.8 billion yuan and [NOTE: please clarify. Awarded? See me if you wish] National Film, Television and Network Animation Experimental Park, Jiangsu province’s International Service Outsourcing Demonstration Zone, and the Cultural industry of Demonstration Base of Suzhou.
The Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council named the East China Technology Innovation Park in the zone a Demonstration Base for Chinese Entrepreneurial Talent from Overseas. The main construction of the business zone includes headquarters economy, outsourcing, research and design, cultural and creative (animation) industry, integrated service platform, talent apartments and commercial facilities.
A group of listed companies have their headquarters in the zone, including Cathay Financial and Ruyitong Animation Industry. Many leading projects in the service sector choose it as an ideal destination, including BizPlus Service Outsourcing, Jiangsu province’s Valley of E-commerce and the industrial standardization base of China National Institute of Standardization.
Shazhou Lake Technological Innovation Park
Guided by a sustainable development strategy, Zhangjiagang municipal government established the Shazhou Lake Technological Innovation Park as a center for high-end human resources and technological innovation. It is a comprehensive science and technology innovation park with multiple functions, including incubation, technology research and development and the commercialization of technological achievements.
With a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan ($407.5 million), this zone covers an area of 120,000 square meters and a total construction area of 320,000 sqm. It consists of nine building complexes, and is divided into four functional areas, including the technology research and development area, business office area, reception and exhibition area and public service area.
Designed in the style of a traditional British college, the architecture in the zone consists of a multi-level layout with a comfortable and cozy atmosphere through greening design.
The Creative Software(Animation)Industrial Park
The Creative Software(Animation)Industrial Park was approved by Jiangsu Development and Reform Commission in August, 2010, with a planned area of 240,000 square meters and an investment of 2 billion yuan ($0.33 billion).
There are 600,000-sqm office buildings for the software, animation and creative industries, a research and development center, headquarter economy mansion, apartments for talents and experts, and commercial facilities.
A total of five public service platforms were built in the park - software research and development, software testing, training, international order handling, and service for investment and financing.
The park has attracted nearly 20 software and animation enterprises and about 1,000 employees.
Zhangjiagang Remanufacturing Industry Demonstration Base
Zhangjiagang Remanufacturing Industry Demonstration Base is a state-level industrial base with an area of 4.3 square kilometers (430 hectares).
Since the National Development and Reform Commission gave its approval in June 2011, a group of companies including Furuise Special Equipment , SMS Siemag and Nachi-Fujikoshi have settled in its first phase project consisting of an area of 1.1 square kilometers - and the number of companies is expected to reach between 20 and 30 within the next five years.
According to plans for the next three to five years, the base will aim for a remanufacturing output of 5 billion ($0.163 billion) to 10 billion yuan. It will establish a remanufacturing service system that includes technical R&D, quality testing, outsourcing processing, safety and environmental protection and electronic business.
Modern Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park
Zhangjiagang Modern Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park was established following the approval of the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Jiangsu Province.
The park has two areas -one is located in the south of Zhangjiagang Economic and Technological Development Zone (ZETDZ) and the other is in the Donglai Industrial Concentration Zone.
Area A covers 5.11 square kilometers (511 hectares), and specializes in large-scale petrochemical equipment, high-speed rail equipment, smart grid equipment, nuclear power equipment and large-scale lifting equipment. In area B, which covers 5 square kilometers, modern equipment manufacturing includes large-scale nuclear power equipment, pressure vessel environmental protection equipment and energy-saving equipment .
Over 200 enterprises specializing in the manufacturing industry have settled in the park, like Hailu Heavy Industry, Furuise Special Equipment, SMS Siemag and Nachi-Fujikoshi, and include five Global 500 companies.
With its advantages in technological innovation and project construction, the park is striving for a sales volume of over 50 billion yuan ($8.26 billion) by the end of the 12th Five Year Plan.
Zhangjiagang Robot Industrial Park
Zhangjiagang Robot Industrial Park covers an area of 1.5 square kilometers in its first-phase.
The park is divided into two areas which focus on different functions. The R&D area is located in the north part of Zhangjiagang Economic and Technological Development Zone (ZETDZ). The park's manufacturing area is located in the south part of ZETDZ, and several top robot enterprises - including Japan Nachi-Fujikoshi, Baoosun Science & Technology Ltd and Xianfeng Automation Machinery Equipment Co Ltd – have settled in this area.
The park aims to accelerate its development as an emerging base of the domestic robot industry, and its industrial output value is expected to reach 6 billion yuan in 2016 and 20 billion yuan in 2020 - with the goal of becoming a leading robot industrial base and a sort of Silicon Valley for the robot industry.
Sino-Danish Cooperation Ecological Science & Technology Park
The Sino-Danish Cooperation Ecological Science & Technology Park is located in the north of Zhangjiagang Economic and Technological Development Zone (ZETDZ) with a planning area of 2.4 square kilometers. Guided by advanced ecological concepts, technologies and experience, the park’s organizers are set to plan, design and build a sustainable development area to promote its capability in environmental protection and resources utilization. The green and livabledemonstration park will promote opportunities for investors from home and abroad, and accelerate the development of the low-carbon industry.
The park is especially focused on becoming a model ecological park of domestic low-carbon circular development, and aims to establish sustainable concepts for other cities and towns of its kind ,- and to become a state-level integrated ecological science and technology park as well as a hub for top talents.
Zhangjiagang Science and Technology Park
Zhangjiagang Science and Technology Park is also known as Jiangsu Zhangjiagang Overseas Students Innovation Park and is an incubator for science and technology enterprises.
The park is financed by Zhangjiagang Municipal Government and – by the end of last year - provided incubation services for 181 enterprises, - 30 of the enterprises were established by overseas students – and 102 of them are being hatched.
By the end of 2012, the 102 enterprises achieved total revenue of 400 million yuan - from technology, industry and trade - and paid tax of 30 million yuan.
East China International Technology Innovation Park
The East China International Technology Innovation Park was established in Zhangjiagang Science and Technology Park in May 2010. It is a high-level innovative and entrepreneurial platform based on the joint efforts of the Association of Chinese-American Scientists and Engineers, overseas strategic investors and various American investment companies.
The Zhangjiagang Science and Technology Park has boosted its projects related to high-end leading talents and industrialization by taking advantage of its connections overseas, high-end talents and high-tech information resources in the East China International Technology Innovation Park, and, in 2011, the park’s application to become an “Overseas Talents Innovation Demonstration Base of China” was approved by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council.
