Firework shows were held at Yuantouzhu, or Turtle Head Isle scenic spot, in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province on Sept 13 and 15.
The shows have been held every year during the Mid-Autumn Festival since 2004. This year's event was meant to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The show, attended by thousands of tourists, is a part of the annual Taihu Lake Fishing Flavor Festival, which began on Sept 11 and will run until November.
A variety of activities related to the local fishing culture will be held, including a micro-video competition, several folk culture performances, and a feast of crabs and fish from Taihu Lake.
Yuantouzhu is a peninsula in Wuxi's Taihu Lake-one of the nation's largest freshwater lakes. It is a national 5A scenic spot and is among the top 10 hottest attractions because of its cherry blossoms in spring.
