An exhibition marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) opened in Wuxi's Liangxi district on June 27.
Thousands of old items, including alarm clocks, watches, abacuses, grain and oil tickets and blankets used during the 1950-1953 Korean War, are being exhibited to show life's vicissitudes during times of change.
Wuxi native Yu Kaiyuan provided a certificate of his uncle's sacrifice to the exhibition. After taking part in the Korean War as a soldier, Yu's uncle devoted his life to peace. Visitors expressed their gratitude and grief after listening to the background story.
