Fifty-nine Wuxi-based enterprises were featured on various 2019 China Top 500 enterprise lists, more than any other city in Jiangsu province.
The new lists were published by the China Enterprise Confederation (CEC) and China Enterprise Directors Association at the 2019 China Top 500 Enterprises Summit held in Jinan, Shandong province on Sept 1.
Wuxi had 14 enterprises listed among the overall Top 500 Enterprises in China, accounting for 28.6 percent of the provincial total; 30 among the Top 500 Enterprises in China's Manufacturing Industry, accounting for 53.6 percent of the provincial total; and 15 among the Top 500 Enterprises in China's Service Industry, accounting for 34.1 percent of the provincial total.
Enterprises in this year's Top 500 Enterprises of China had to register operating revenue of at least 32.32 billion yuan ($4.51 billion), an increase of 1.63 billion yuan over the previous year.

Heilan Group, a textile and garment company, recorded operating revenue of 120 billion yuan ($16.9 billion), putting it at 156th among the Top 500 Enterprises in China and first among Wuxi enterprises.
Wuxi enterprises featured on the list of the Top 500 Enterprises in China's Manufacturing Industry brought in operating revenue totaling 1.06 trillion yuan, up 8.4 percentage points over the previous year.
