A group of 143 young baseball players in seven teams from both sides of the Taiwan Straits participated in a six-day tour of Wuxi, in East China's Jiangsu province, running to Aug 19.
Organizers invited three baseball teams from Xinbei city in Taiwan to join in the competitions against four local teenage teams in Wuxi, aiming to promoting closer cross-Straits relations and strengthen young player's skills.
Wuxi Meicun Experimental Primary School won the group match in the final.
Participants from Taiwan also visited many tourist attractions in Wuxi and Yixing, including the Wuxi Museum, Wuxi TV and Movie Base and Yixing Zisha Communications Base.
The event has been held annually to promote communication and exchanges in baseball between Wuxi and Taiwan since 2011.
Wuxi has been working to develop baseball classes and talented players in 32 schools.
