Wuxi electronic scooter riders can apply for temporary information cards for their scooters online and receive them at any of 56 China Post stations.
According to new national regulation for electronic scooters which went into effect on April 15, electronic scooter owners who don't meet the new requirements should register their information in temporary information cards and put them on the back of their vehicles.
All electronic scooter riders who want to apply for the card should first fill in their information online on the official WeChat account of Wuxi Traffic Police (jiaojingwuxi). The deadline is September 30.
Riders can receive their card after the application is approved at 56 designated sites or by mail. The postage costs 15 yuan ($2.18).
Over 2 million electronic scooters in Wuxi should carry the information card. Wuxi Traffic Police has received 380,000 applications so far.
Wuxi Traffic Police will begin strictly regulating electronic scooters in 2020. After April 14, 2024, electronic scooters with temporary information cards will also be forbidden.
