The Wuxi Yangshan Honey Peach enjoys a reputation as one of the tastiest fruits in East China. They are sold to every city along the Shanghai-Nanjing high-speed rail and even Hong Kong.
"It has been several years since we started selling our honey peaches to Hong Kong. This year we're selling 8,000 boxes carrying eight peaches and weighing about 250 grams a piece," said Dai Huijun, director of the production department of Wuxi Taihu Yangshan Honey Peach Technology Co.

Supported by the government of Wuxi's Yangshan town, Wuxi Taihu Yangshan Honey Peach Technology Co achieved accurate mass production using internet of things technology in 2011. Yangshan Honey peaches can now be sold to more areas with and as at a higher quality. The first 2.5-ton peaches were sold to Hong Kong through a third-party platform in July.
"We started to sell our peaches to companies in Hong Kong directly in 2015. The first batch was 500 boxes and more individual orders came later," Dai explained. Wuxi Yangshan Honey Peaches became more popular after strict quality controls and unique packaging were implemented.
On May 12, 2019, Yangshan Honey Peach and six local peach firms achieved the title of Forest Stewardship Council, giving Yangshan Honey Peach license to enter the international market.
The government of Huishan district also helped Yangshan town to achieve the entry-exit inspection and quarantine certificate, mark and seal of honey peaches. More honey peaches will be sold to China's Macao, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia next year.
