The 4th Jiangsu Volunteer Service Exhibition was held in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province on July 13 and 14, showcasing the spirit of volunteer service.
The two-day exhibition aimed to highlight the latest progress and trends in Jiangsu's voluntary sector, and promote exchanges and cooperation among volunteer service organizations.
Among over 650 volunteer service projects taking part in the exhibition, Wuxi, Jiangyin and Yixing exhibited about 50 projects as the first National Civilized City cluster, including projects related to providing care for the elderly and the children of migrant workers, online safety, cultural and sports services, legal aid and mental healthcare.
Some of the highlights of Wuxi's exhibition included promotional products for Chinese medicines made by young doctors at Wuxi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and garbage sorting games made for children.
This year's exhibition focused on interactive communications with visitors. The exhibition, held in Wuxi for the first time in 2016, exhibited 1,330 volunteer service projects and obtained financial support of 96 million yuan ($14 million).
