The world's first amphibious flying car, which can drive on the ground, on water and in the air, will undergo test performances in August, the manufacturer announced July 4.
Wuxi-based MuYu Aero Technology Co independently designed, developed and produced the amphibious flying car, the MY-ABC. A combination of aircraft, boat and car, it was first shown to the public during the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai, Guangdong province last November.
"The car did not carry the power system to the exhibition in Zhuhai, but its unique appearance and bionic design concept caused quite a stir in the audience," said Wang Yong, the manager of MuYu Aero Technology.

Although the car and the aircraft seem to be completely different vehicles, the conversion from one to the other is not complicated. The driver can automatically expand the wing at the push of a button. The car can be converted into an airplane in 30 seconds. The tail and three-bladed propellers give the aircraft its thrust.
As an aircraft, its maximum takeoff weight is 700 kilograms, the maximum speed is 350 kilometers per hour, and the range is up to 1,500 kilometers. As a domestic yacht and speedboat, the speed can reach 100 kilometers per hour. As a car, the speed can be 120 km/h and travel distance is 600 km. When the aircraft lands, the wings are automatically folded, and the car is 2.6 meters wide and 5.7 m long, which is suitable for ordinary roads.
