Five teams from four countries have so far qualified for the quarter-finals, including those from China, Scotland, Wales and Belgium.
In group A, the China A team of Ding Junhui and Yan Bingtao recorded their whitewash victory against Poland, securing their place in the quarter-finals. They have lost just three frames in four matches so far.
China B and Wales both won 5-0 in group D. Liang Wenbo and Zhou Yuelong made their third whitewash victory against India, putting them top among all 24 teams. The Welsh partnership of Mark Williams and Ryan Day beat Switzerland 5-0.
Scotland and Belgium extended their unbeaten runs to ensure qualification in group C. They will face each other tomorrow to determine who finishes in the top spot.
Team Scotland admitted in an interview that Belgium would be a strong rival for them.
Luca Brecel from Belgium said: "“We are all qualified now and I think it will be a loose game...It's nice to play with John and Stephen as we are good friends. It's gonna be good fun."
The result of group B is still variable. Though England had a 5-0 win over Saudi Arabia and sits in first, whether they move on to next round still depends on the match against Northern Ireland tomorrow night.
Iran and Hong Kong are the other possible qualifiers for the quarter-finals in group B, having both secured important 4-1 victories today.
