The 2019 "Discover Wuxi" orienteering challenge, an urban running activity, is set to kick off on May 18, according to a press conference held on May 9.
The event is guided by the publicity department of the Wuxi municipal Party committee, the office for cyberspace affairs and the city's market supervision administration.
Besides showcasing the charm of Wuxi, the event also aims at promoting public service advertisements.

A total of 3,000 participants aged from 7 to 70 will run through some of the city's most distinguished spots along five routes, including a special route in memory of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The special route covers many of Wuxi's cultural and historical places, including the Wuxi Archives, the China National Industry and Commerce Museum of Wuxi and the place where the first national flag in Wuxi was raised.
