The Wuxi Orchid Culture Exhibition opened in Wuxi Museum on the evening of April 16, featuring valuable rare orchids and orchid cultural relics.
Sponsored by Wuxi Museum and Jiangsu Orchid Association, the exhibition marked the museum's first night, allowing citizens to appreciate orchids while enjoying tea and music, sketched orchids, and discussions about them. The exhibition will run until July 16.
A number of boutique orchids, agricultural and forestry products, Wuxi's achievements in poverty alleviation, orchid-themed calligraphy, paintings, and photography are being exhibited to promote the flower and seedling industry in Wuxi and the Yangtze River Delta.

In Chinese culture, the orchid symbolizes elegance and the many virtues of mankind's pursuits. Cultivating them is not just a skill but an artform.
Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province has a long history of orchid planting, protection and research. In 1988, Wuxi Orchid Research Association was set up and the city was approved by the Chinese Botanical Society as the first orchid conservation and research center in China.
