SK Hynix, a global semiconductor giant based in South Korea, signed an agreement with Wuxi National Hi-tech District to build an international school in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province on March 20.
Li Xiaomin, Party secretary of Wuxi, and Wuxi Mayor Huang Qin, received the delegation led by Lee Seok-Hee, president of SK Hynix.
The newly-built private inernational school is scheduled to enroll 1,000 primary school students in the first phase. Its junior high school will be constructed in the second phase, with 500 students to be enrolled.

Li Xiaomin congratulated the signing of the project and expressed his gratitude to SK Hynix for its long-term support for Wuxi. As a leading enterprise in the global semiconductor industry, SK Hynix is one of the most important partners in Wuxi's foreign cooperation.
Li said that SK Hynix would mark the 14th anniversary of its settlement in Wuxi next month. With expanding scale and increasing benefits, SK Hynix has made great achievements during the past 14 years. The cooperation between the two sides has entered a new stage after signing the project, Li added.
Affiliated with SK Group, SK Hynix has invested more than $14 billion since it first came to Wuxi in 2005. With an investment of $8.6 billion, the second phase project will be put into mass production in May.
