According to the Government Report on the second session of the 13th National People's Congress, the government will make solid progress in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization and move closer to completing the task of building a moderately prosperous society.
Ouyang said: "In my mind, ecological resources should become a new industry of beauty, prosperity, health and longevity, developing alongside new-type rural industries, rural tourism, local culture, ecological civilization and people's livelihoods."

Last year, dozens of acres of aromatic plants were grown in Baita village, including roses and lavender, and 100 more acres are planned for this year.
The natural aroma industry, including aromatic planting, sightseeing tours and oil extracting and processing, is expected to become the key industry in Baita. Ouyang has also suggested that the natural aroma industry be added into national encouraged industries during the two sessions.
According to Ouyang, the output value of rose per mu (6.67 acres) can reach 10,000 yuan ($1,487), which is more than five times that of corn. In addition, the aromatic industry can help enhance ecological improvements and make big advances in the green development of the village.
