Wuxi Party Secretary Li Xiaomin and city Mayor Huang Qin led a delegation to China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) and China Electronics Corporation (CEC) in Beijing on Feb 25.
The state-owned CETC is a large-scale enterprise engaged in the engineering and construction of essential military/civil information systems, as well as in the research and manufacturing of major electronics equipment, communication and electronics products, key components and software.
It has been some 40 years since Wuxi city in East China's Jiangsu province began to cooperate with CETC on integrated circuit design and manufacturing, computing power, intelligent manufacturing and military-civilian integration. Last year, the two sides signed an agreement to build a CETC industrial base in Wuxi.
During the meeting with Xiong Qinli, president of CETC, Li Xiaomin expressed his gratitude for the help CETC has provided to Wuxi's economic and scientific development.
"Wuxi attaches great importance to cooperation with CETC. Both sides are expected to give full play to their strengths and focus on promoting cooperation and application in the fields of integrated circuits, computer applications and internet of things."
Xiong Qunli thought Wuxi a city with a good industrial base and development environment. He said CETC will continue to step up efforts on the industrial base project and help promote economic development in Wuxi.
