The Charms of Wonderful Jiangsu - Cultural and Tourism Year of Jiangsu at the China Cultural Center in Singapore kicked off on Jan 26.
Various performances of folk songs, dances, acrobatics and traditional instruments from the eastern Chinese province marked the beginning of a year-long event showcasing the natural scenery, art and cultural heritage of Jiangsu.
The Wuxi Song and Dance Troupe gave a wonderful performance, featuring a dance drama named Nan Guo Hong Dou (red beans grown in South China), which tells a transnational love story of a Cambodian girl and a Chinese engineer to show the close relationship between China and Belt and Road countries.
The show garnered applause from the audience and was a great beginning to the Charms of Wonderful Jiangsu - Cultural and Tourism Year of Jiangsu.
