Wuxi Movie/TV Base
Cultural experience event
During this year's Spring Festival, a large experience event of an ancient Spring Festival will be held in Wuxi Movie/TV base from Feb 5 to 10, allowing visitors to get a taste of how people in ancient times celebrated this grand festival while wandering around different interesting tourist attractions in the base.
At 9 am every day during the event, an actor posing as Liu Bei, a powerful warlord and the founding emperor of the Kingdom of Shu during the Three Kingdoms (220-280) period in ancient China, will welcome all visitors at the entrance of the town, carrying out worship ceremonies and lighting a fire to pray for blessings.
Performers acting as heroes from Water Margin, the famous Chinese book, such as Song Jiang, Wu Song, Lin Chong and Yan Qing will gather at Cuixian Pavilion to celebrate with visitors. Visitors can not only interact with their favorite heroes from the book, but also have photos taken with them.
Performances such as the live-action shows, Three Heroes Fighting against Lyu Bu and Fighting to kill Ximen Qing, will also be staged during the holidays to add more festival atmosphere to the scenic area.
