A series of volunteer activities to help migrant workers were held in the south square of Wuxi Railway Station on Jan 21.
Sponsored by the Wuxi Civilization Office, the activities were held across the city's railway and bus stations, presenting New Year blessings, convenience services, employment opportunities, and books to migrant workers returning home for the coming Chinese New Year.

According to estimates, a total of 500 buns and 700 cups of ginger tea were donated on the morning of Jan 21, the beginning of the 2019 Spring Festival travel rush. Over 1,000 books have also been offered to meet the cultural needs of the workers and their children.
Medical volunteers provided blood pressure and blood glucose measurement services and health consultations. Free Wi-Fi was available to migrant workers to surf the web and order tickets online.
These volunteer service activities will continue in the south square of Wuxi Railway Station for the entire 40-day Spring Festival travel rush.
