The government of Wuxi's Liangxi district and the Shanghai Service Federation signed an agreement to cooperate on Jan 15 to promote economic development in Liangxi.
The two sides will build a platform to exchange ideas and work together on improving the local service industry. Liangxi district will be promoted as Shanghai-based enterprises to expand.

Zhao Xuesong, deputy director of Liangxi district, explained that the research and development fund of the Shanghai Service Federation will be used to support innovation projects in Liangxi district. Entrepreneurs from both sides will be able to communicate and learn from each other.
Liangxi district serves as the downtown area of Wuxi, made up of the former Chongan, Nanchang and Beitang districts which had been defunct since October 2015. It is the political, economic and cultural center of Wuxi city.
A total of 37 service industry projects, each with an investment exceeding 10 million yuan ($1.47 million), were signed in 2018.
