The 15th China (Wuxi) International Design Expo will be held from May 25 to 27 at the Wuxi (Taihu) International Expo Center in East China's Jiangsu province.
Co-hosted by the National Science and Technology Department, Jiangsu provincial government and the State Intellectual Property Office, the expo will invite well-known enterprises, design institutions and associations from home and abroad.
Based around the theme "new design, new intelligent production, new life", the expo, covering an area of 20,000 square meters, is designed to show how intelligent design can integrate with daily life and change people's lifestyles.
Thousands of newly developed conceptual designs and design solutions, with the aim of showing the achievements of Wuxi in technical innovation and design, will be on display during the expo.
As an important part of the expo, works are being collected worldwide for the 8th Taihu Award Design Competition ahead of the April 26 deadline. The founder and chairman of Red Dot, Peter Zec, will be invited as one of the judges.
Sun Haidong, director of Wuxi Science and Technology Bureau, introduced the competition as a platform to promote the innovation and development of industrial upgrading through the gathering of sci-tech information resources.
