The 16th Wuxi Women's Congress will take place on Dec16-17, according to a news conference at the Wuxi Women's Federation on Dec 12.
Held every five years, the congress will see 400 delegates elected, 109 of whom have won provincial and national awards as outstanding working professionals in areas such as farming, industry, business, technology, education and law.
Hang Xiangli, a federation official, said the average age of the 400 delegates, who include residents of Taiwan, is 42.1.

The 16th Wuxi Women's Congress will hear and consider a work report by the 15th Executive Council of the federation, amend the federation's constitution and elect its new leadership, the news conference said.
Hang highlighted that the new leadership team will be made up of both full-time and part-time members, ensuring that more outstanding women will create a new climate in the Wuxi Women's Federation.
