Jiangyin, a county-level city in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, was listed in the latest authoritative report on the country's top 100 industrial counties released in Beijing on Nov 21.
According to the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) report, another county-level city of Wuxi, Yixing, ranked 10th place on the list this year.
Jiangyin city has once again proved itself as one of China's most economically competitive counties, with its GDP reaching 348.83 billion yuan ($50.25 billion) in 2017.

The list showing this year's top 500 enterprises in China featured 10 based in Jiangyin, and in the manufacturing category, Jiangyin enterprises held 17 places. Emerging e-commerce enterprises, such as the renowned clothing enterprise Heilan Home, help to fuel the city's modern business engine.
With a superior advantages in both quantity and quality of economic competitiveness, Jiangyin has reason to keep carrying the flag of the country's county-level economic development.
