The city of Wuxi, Jiangsu province hosted a special cultural performance to recognize local residents who have made an outstanding contribution to the city, on Nov 1.
Sponsored by the Publicity Department of Wuxi CPC Committee, Wuxi civilization office, Wuxi public security bureau, Wuxi administration for culture, radio, TV, news and publishing, and the Wuxi' foundation for justice and courage, the cultural performance attracted over 1,000 people, including representatives from business, law enforcement and local government.

The show was divided into three parts and paid tribute to locals who have contributed their time and energy to improve the city and helped make it a safer place to live.
Li Xiaomin, Party secretary of Wuxi, along with other local dignitaries and officials, handed out awards to a number of local residents in recognition of their efforts.
