Shenzhen Fuhua Optoelectronic Technology Co signed up to build a high-tech research institute in Wuxi Economic Development Zone, Binhu district on Oct 28.
The project, sponsored by Wuxi Municipal Government, the Management Committee of Wuxi Economic Development Zone (Taihu New City) and Shenzhen Fuhua Optoelectronic Technology Co, will establish a high-tech research institute and investment fund for the advanced manufacturing of sensors.
Wuxi Fuhua High-tech Institute will focus on the fields of device technology and electronic systems, such as photodetection chips, MEMS sensor chips, pressure and position sensors, and the Bei Dou Navigation Satellite System.
Shenzhen Fuhua will also build a military-civilian integration industrial park in the city, focusing on the implementation of projects that result in transformation.

Li Xiaomin, Party secretary of Wuxi, said that because Fuhua has cooperated with many top domestic research institutes, the institute will help the Wuxi Economic Development Zone to become a science and technology innovation pilot area and attract more high-end talents.
Zhou Xiaobo, chairman of Fuhua International Industrial Group, added that Fuhua will take advantage of the industrial policies and environment in Wuxi to promote core high-tech research and help to build an industrial chain in the city.
