A news conference for the 2018 Chinese Renewable Energy Conference and Exhibition (CREC2018) was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Oct 31.
Details of preparations for the event and some of the expected highlights were revealed during the conference, which was attended by Mi Junchu, deputy secretary-general of Wuxi Municipal People's Government, Ni Jiayu, deputy mayor of Ordos in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and Xu Huijuan, director of the CREC2018 organizing committee.

The conference will take place in the city from Nov 1 to 3, featuring wind and solar power storage, as well as network fees. In addition, CREC2018 will feature over 30 activities, including forums, exhibitions, awards ceremonies, and cultural performances.
This year's exhibition venue covers an area of 20,000 square meters, and is expected to attract more than 2,000 visitors and 500 firms, including GCL-Poly Energy Holding Limited, Wuxi Suntech Co and the Wuxi branch of China Telecom.
