Most recently, Shen Xincheng, a young man pursuing a doctorate in history of science and technology, shared his book that documents his experience visiting a host of American museums with guests and took feedback from the gathered audience.
The list of notable writers that have given readings at the center include Meng Hui, Zhi An, Yang Zhao, Song Yu, Han Xiaofeng, and Zhong Lifeng.
"A bookstore is a reading experience space," added the shop manager, "we have been making adjustments and improving our service by communicating with readers and seriously considering their suggestions."
Meanwhile, the bookstore also designs, produces and sells stationery, souvenirs and other creative handicrafts drawing inspiration from regional historical and cultural resources to diversify its offerings. These include handmade maps, postcards, notebooks and bookplates, which appeal to many of the visitors.
