Wuxi's young pianist, Zhao Lina, gave a brilliant performance in the 15th Italy InterHarmony International Music Festival, a summer of musical feast across the world, in July 13.
In the San Antonio Church, Zhao, played a solo piece titled "Romeo and Juliet" in July 12 and then performed a trio with the company of an American trumpet player and a Korean violinist in July 13.
Born in Jiangyin, a county-level city of Wuxi, Zhao Lina, a post-80s girl, is currently China's chief representative at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her outstanding performance contributes to her artistic family atmosphere where Zhao learnt her first instrument accordion at a mere age of 3 and started to learn piano three years afterwards and henceforth received lots of awards in numerous piano playing competitions.
Zhao was admitted to China's Conservatory of Music and then worked in the Ministry of Culture. She also has a master's degree in piano playing from the Trinity College of Music.
