Xuelang Mountain's multicolored fields of flowers attract thousands of tourists each summer. But one group of visitors to the site in Wuxi, Jiangsu province was concentrating more on their lotus positions than the lotus flowers on May 30.
The 36 visitors were yoga enthusiasts who had come to Xuelang to promote an international yoga festival scheduled to take place in Wuxi on June 21-25.
The white leotard-garbed crew attracted quite a bit of attention as they spread their yoga mats in a variety of patterns and showed off their flexibility in different spots around the mountain.
Yoga is rapidly gaining popularity in Wuxi. The number of people taking part in events related to the activity trebled from 1,000 in 2015 to 3,000 last year, according to Wuxi municipal government.
