The 2017 MotoSurf World Cup China kicked off in Yixing, a city in Jiangsu province, on May 18.
Nineteen JetSurf riders from the Czech Republic, China, France, Canada, Mexico and Slovakia raced across the waves to complete a series of difficult courses during the two-day event.
The contest was divided into a professional event and a Chinese event, with extra prizes on offer in the women's contest including best performance and best jump awards.
The MotoSurf World Cup, held in a different country every year, is one of the most advanced and safest motorsport events globally, and it always attracts fans of MotoSurf and other sports.
The contest is the first of many water sports activities Yixing plans to host during the summer months, as the county-level city near Wuxi looks to promote its tourist industry.
