Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province is to host an international yoga festival from June 21-25, with the aim of promoting international sports and healthy lifestyles in the city, according to a press conference held on May 26.
Prakash Gupta, consul general of India's consulate in Shanghai, addressed the press conference held at Lingshan's Grand Buddha in Wuxi, calling for citywide participation in the upcoming yoga event which will include a yoga practice event with more than 10,000 participants on June 25.

The festival will also be celebrated at the Lingshan scenic area, a national 5A-level scenic area with one of the world's largest Buddha statues. Stars of Kung Fu Yoga, a Chinese film starring Jackie Chan and Indian actress Disha Patani, will attend the 10,000-participant yoga event on June 25.
Five top yoga gurus from India will teach yoga courses in Wuxi from June 22-24.
