The 16 surnames are Fan (范), Yang (杨), You (尤), Hua (华), Gu (顾), Li (李), Qian (钱), Zhang (张), Wu (吴), Lu (陆), Wang (王), Ni (倪), Gao (高), Zhou (周), Zhu (朱), and Cai(蔡).
