A new virtual reality amusement park featuring some of the world's most advanced VR movie and gaming technology has opened in Chengdu. The first of its kind in Asia, the park was co-developed by Wuxi Light Time, a culture media company based in Wuxi (National) Digital Film Industrial Park, also known as "Huallywood".
The park, named High-T, covers 2,000 square meters, divided into five pavilions each offering a different immersive VR experience.

Most popular so far has been High-T's cutting-edge video games, which have made major breakthroughs in VR gaming technology by allowing players to move freely and take part in multiplayer action simultaneously.
Visitors playing the park's first-person shooter game can jump, crouch and dodge around the room unencumbered by wires, and can even use their hands to pick up virtual objects in the game.

"War 2156", a VR movie in which the viewer experiences the action firsthand, almost as if from the point of view of an eyewitness, is another popular attraction.
This initial movie is a short, though gripping, prototype, but High-T is currently in discussions with production companies to adapt a number of Chinese blockbusters for VR, including the hit 3-D movie "Skiptrace", which was co-produced by Wuxi Light Time.
According to Chen Hongxiang, the founder of High-T, the park aims to continue providing more immersive experiences for visitors to make them feel as if they are inside their favorite movies and TV shows.
