Wuxi will roll out an official outlet center distributing imported goods in the Wuxi Industrial Expo Park, Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (WND), on May 28, wxrb.com reported.
Its planning area in the first phase is 70,000 square meters, with a 13,000-sq-m product display and sales area. The center has been assigned to roughly 10 large business agents and distributors with extensive experience in global commodity trade after rounds of selection by the Wuxi Free Trade Zone administrative committee.
The outlet center is expected to diversify its supply of foreign goods and broaden procurement channels, as well as offer comfortable, convenient and fast shopping experiences of imports to local consumers.
The outlet center provides abundant quality goods from over 30 countries, including Germany, France, the United States, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Korea. It covers nearly 10 categories such as foods, alcohol, household goods, cosmetics, accessories and domestic appliances.
It will further develop to a comprehensive service center that integrates shopping, restaurants, amusement and sightseeing with the construction of exhibition pavilions, showrooms of foreign brands and international restaurants.
