Global pharmaceutical giant Bristol-Myers Squibb's China operations held a ceremony on Mar 18 to celebrate sales exceeding 100 million yuan ($15 million), from September to December in 2015, according to wnd.gov.cn.
The ceremony was held in Wuxi National Hi-tech District (Xinwu district), and Hong Yanwei, deputy secretary of the district’s Party working committee, congratulated Bristol-Myers Squibb on its recent success. The district will keep supporting the company and create better investment and living environments, said Hong.
Yann Cardot, vice-president and general manager of GMS China chez Bristol-Myers Squibb, who was on hand for the ceremony, expressed his thanks towards the district government for its support in recent years.
Bristol-Myers Squibb (China) Paramedical Co., Ltd was set up by New York-based biopharmaceutical company Bristol-Myers Squibb Co in 2013 with an investment of $25 million. It was put into operation in September 2015 and is scheduled to introduce two kinds of medicine in antineoplastic and anti-Hepatitis C in 2016.
