After five years' preparation, Nianhua Bay in Wuxi, Jiangsu province will open to the public on Nov 15, according to the local portal thmz.com.

The new tourist attraction, near the Lingshan Grand Buddha, held the fourth World Buddhist Forum in October.

The resort is named after its resemblance to a lotus flower.

Its ambition is to be a cultural tourism destination, integrating a tourist area, a business street, ecological wetland, a conference center and a hotel zone within an area of 1.1 square kilometers in the town of Lingshan.

Zen is the highlight of the resort, which emphasizes rigorous meditation-practice, insight into Buddha-nature, and the personal expression of this insight in daily life, especially for the benefit of others.
