Wuxi Telecom has completed the construction of the nation's first high-standard all-optical network, which covers the whole city of Wuxi, on Sept 16.
Now, Wuxi owns the highest standard in optical network construction, with 100 percent in optical network coverage, optical broadband adoption and outdated switching equipment elimination. The average connection speed of broadband users exceeds 3 Mbps.
The high-standard all-optical network facilitates the construction of information infrastructure, promotes energy conservation, emission reduction and enhances the city's comprehensive competitiveness.
Wuxi Telecom will take advantage of the all-optical network in the future and contribute to the development of Wuxi's "Internet Plus" industry, claimed Zhang Hualin, general manager of Wuxi Telecom Group.
