The dance drama - Batir Manas is adapted by Kirgiz epic of Manas. It tells the life story of Kirgiz forefather – Manas, and consists of a prelude and four acts.
Act one
The tribe chief enjoyed his luxurious palace and lashed his slaves. A sorcerer told the chief that there would be a newborn to replace him.
The chief flew into a rage and ordered to kill all pregnant women. A woman escaped from the massacre and gave birth to a baby named Batir Manas. After years, the chief found Manas. His mother and neighbors all died to cover him. A white horse dropped from the sky and took Manas away.
Act two
Ten years later
A princess named Kanica met Manas in her dream and they fell in love with each other.
Manas led his troops to rebel against the greedy and brutal tribe chief. Unfortunately, he fell off a cliff and was caught by the chief. A white deer flied to save him.
Manas and princess got married, and the god of the desert presided over their wedding.
Act three
Years later
Manas unified the Kirgiz group. People celebrated the victory.
The former tribe chief and his sorcerer were captured. The sorcerer killed himself. Manas gave a whip to the former chief and a new life.
Kanica gave birth to a baby, named Simataiy.
Act four
The former tribe chief held the whip, which Manas gave to him, and worked as a sheepherder.
All scenes of his life came into Manas’ eyes. He saw his peers, who had died for the liberty and happiness of his people. They came back and fell down again, and the elder hero walked to his life terminus with them.
A rising and promising nation rose up.
