Starting production in 1890, the nutritious Jiangyin Zhihetang tonic cream is a traditional medical product created by Liu Zhihetang and has a main function to provide nourishment in winter. The production procedure is divided into two parts. Firstly, the preparation of all ingredients and secondly, carrying out the production method. Ingredients for the cream are different depending on whether the formula is classified as a classical version, time-honored version or prescriptions distributed by well-known doctors. The cream is produced with a specific procedure which involves soaking the materials, boiling, concentrating, extracting nutrients, and storage. The raw materials are processed with traditional techniques without the addition of chemicals.
