The urban built-up area in the city of Wuxi, Jiangsu province, achieved a greening rate of 39 percent in 2014, a big achievement in 10 years of efforts to keep the city green.
However, some districts in the city have struggled to make their districts greener. Chong'an district and Nanchang district had a greening rate of lower than 24 percent in 2014, slightly lower than the 35 percent required for a national garden city in 2010.
