Binhu people celebrate Laba Festival

Residence communities and charity foundations in Binhu district, Wuxi, Jiangsu province, handed out free Laba porridge on Jan 27 to celebrate the traditional Laba Festival.

Laba Festival is the eighth day of the 12th lunar month, during which Chinese people have a tradition of eating Laba porridge that is mainly made from rice, beans, dried fruit, tofu, potato, meat and vegetables, for they believe this can bring them good luck, safety and health.
