Prakash Singh Badal, the governor Chief Minister of Punjab, along with other 17 members, visited Wuxi, Nov 10-12, 2014.
Huang Lixin, Wuxi municipal party Party secretary, met the Indian guests on the afternoon of Nov 10. They had an in-depth discussion on further enhancing cooperation and strengthening the communication in the field of economy, trade and public undertakings.
Huang Lixin said that, Wuxi always keeps in close touch with India. So far, Wuxi has nine investment projects from India and put aside 12 Wuxi investment projects in India. The India National Institute of Information Technology has also set its Chinese headquarters in Wuxi, which laid a solid foundation in the cooperation of software talents training.
Badal said that , Punjab, known as Indian India Ggranary, has sound urban infrastructures, including the largest transportation networks with convenient aviation and railway transportation. Wuxi and Punjab have huge cooperation space and potential with their prosperous economic development. Badal hoped to conduct further cooperation in the fields of freshwater fish breeding and new energy application.
Punjab is located in the northwest of India, with an area of 50,000 square kilometers and a population of 17 million. It is awarded the best state each year since 2003. Its sound infrastructure is famous in India. In addition, Punjab is rich in wheat, rice, sugar cane and cotton, and it has been the largest wheat producer in India.
