The six-day itinerary is as follows, starting on July 24:
Day 1:
Participants take a shuttle bus from Shanghai to Zhouzhuang town in the city of Kunshan and get a welcoming party and guitar performances in the evening.
Day 2:
Lecture by Chen Yanhong on the guitar skills and music styles suitable for fingerstyle guitar performance in the morning. Lecture by Zhu Jie on blues music and the guitar in the afternoon. In the evening, participants discuss the methods and practice and take part in a preliminary playing and singing contest.
Day 3:
In the morning, lecture by Lei Zhen on the chords that are used in pop music. In the afternoon, participants and lecturers tour the old part of Zhouzhuang and provide street performances. In the evening, visit Zhouzhuang in Four Seasons outdoor art show.
Day 4:
In the morning, Chen Yanhong shares his experience as a fingerstyle guitarist. In the afternoon, lecture by Dai Yuting on jazz music. In the evening, exchanges by participants.
Day 5:
In the morning, a lecture by Dai Yuting on guitars and jazz music. In the afternoon, a lecture on the guitar-making process and some tutoring before the contest. In the evening, the actual guitar playing and singing contest.
Day 6:
Group singing recording in the morning. In the afternoon, participants take the shuttle bus back to Shanghai.
