The 2017 “Belt and Road” International U15 Youth Campus Soccer Camp opened in Hohhot on July 20, attracting over 360 teenagers from China and abroad to train team sports and experience cultural exchange.
The camp organizers arranged a series of activities to enrich the summer holiday of those participating, including a summit forum focusing on youth soccer development, training methods and systemic management, a cultural arts gala and a visit to local Mongolian ethnic communities to experience traditional customs.
The summer camp invited 12 boy’s teams and five girl’s teams from the United Kingdom, Mongolia and Shaanxi province, to compete for prizes and learn tactics from each other.
Since being chosen as a national soccer pilot, Inner Mongolia has dedicated itself to promoting youth soccer training and has attempted to cooperate with Belt and Road countries to learn systemic youth camp management.
The event aimed to provide a platform for youth soccer exchanges and bring a new dynamic to the regional youth soccer program, cultivating talents to prepare for entry into professional leagues.
