Western ballad concert rocks Urad grassland

A western ballad concert was held in Urad Front Banner, Bayannur, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on June 12, attracting over 140 folk singers and bands to perform.

The folk performers were from China’s 13 western provinces including Xinjiang, Tibet, Gansu, Yunnan, Sichuan, Ningxia, Qinghai, Guizhou and Guangxi.

Apart from the concert, the event organizers invited artists and experts to discuss the future development of Chinese folk music.

The event aimed to enhance cultural exchanges in western areas, and boost the arts in the Urad grassland region.
