Cross-border auto rally to start in Baotou

The 11th session of the North Asia Rally is to start in Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 27, according to a recent news conference in Hohhot.

Co-hosted by the sports bureau of Baotou, the Mongolian Auto and Motorcycle League and FBLife Interactive, the five-stage, 10-day rally will start from Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner, bordering Mongolia, pass through the inland port at Mandula to enter Mongolia and then return to Inner Mongolia.

Some 100 competitors from China, Mongolia and Russia will cover the journey of 2,011.5 kilometers through China and Mongolia.

The event, now in its 11th session, is expected to boost ties between the three countries, and will be a distinctive sports event in Inner Mongolia.
