Firefighters weaken flames in northern forest

Raged flames were nearly put out in Inner Mongolia’s Naji forest where around 8,400 hectares of land area burned, according to Xinhua on May 19. And firefighters are still working on patrol to tackle smoking areas.

The firefighting headquarters dispatched three squads from Tongliao city, Hinggan League and Xilin Gol League to reinforce the extinguishing task.

The forest prevention department also assigned police force from provinces of Heilongjiang and Jilin to tackle the flames.

Kilometers of burning woodland have been under control thanks to firefighters and rangers’ effort and their efficient and assorted ways during the extinguishing task.
