Shiguai district recognized for urban development

Baotou’s Shiguai district has been added to the membership list of China International Cities Development Alliance, the only district in Baotou that has been selected as a member, reports Baotou Daily.
The alliance was set up at the Euro-China Forum on Sustainable Development which took place on Mar 20, to boost exchanges between Chinese and foreign cities. The first members of the alliance are 67 Chinese cities, two national-level new districts, 21 districts, counties and towns.
Apart from Shiguai district, five cities of Inner Mongolia autonomous region were on the list, including Erenhot, Ulanqab League and Arxan.
High-speed train debuts in Inner Mongolia
A bullet train departed Hohhot East Railway Station for Ulanqab marking the start of high-speed rail services using Inner Mongolia’s first newly-laid high-speed railway on Aug 3.
