Former vice chairman Buhe cremated

The cremation of Buhe, a former vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, was held in Beijing on May 11.

Buhe died at the age of 91 in Beijing, at 3:28 pm on May 5, 2017.

The funeral was held in Beijing Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery. President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang, and other leaders including Zhang Dejiang, Yu Zhengsheng, Liu Yunshan, Wang Qishan and Zhang Gaoli, attended the funeral.

In the morning of May 11, the cemetery hall was in solemnity, with remains of Buhe covered with China’s red communist party flag. President Xi, with other senior leaders, attended the funeral and shook hands with the family members of Buhe to express their condolences.

Heads of the relevant departments, friends and hometown representatives of Buhe, also attended the funeral to mourn for his death.
