Ulanqab to hold 2017 Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expo

Ulanqab will hold 2017 China Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expo on July 17, focusing on six highlights to enhance its influence across China, the organizing committee announced at the press conference on May 8.

Selection activities of “Good Entrepreneurship and Innovation Projects” and “Entrepreneur and Innovator of the Year” will be held simultaneously.

The five-day event will include 11 high-level forums and ten theme exhibitions, displaying latest achievements of entrepreneurship and innovation, launching cooperation platforms and transacting equity investment.

Xinhua Net sponsored the event, while the entire event will be undertaken by Ulanqab municipal people’s government and Xinhua Net’s Inner Mongolia Branch.

The expo aims to explore high-quality projects, foster potential enterprises, launch supporting platforms and create outstanding achievements, promoting public entrepreneurship and mass innovation, and economic transformation and upgrading, according to Tian Shubin, the chairman and president of Xinhua Net.

Han Jun, deputy mayor of Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, said Ulanqab successfully held the first Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expo, which is an important platform for the exchanging innovative ideas, sharing information and transaction of innovative achievements.

According to Han, Ulanqab has integrated into the coordinated development zone of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, focusing on establishing plots for the industrial transfer, industrial upgrading, development and entrepreneurial innovation of Beijing. The open for service of high-speed rails will create a better business environment for the region.

Shen Jiangying, director and vice president of Xinhua Net, stated that the expo features the cutting-edge trend of entrepreneurship and innovation with six characteristics.

First, it features a large amount of honored guests. The invitation will include many government leaders, academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, experts, entrepreneurs, and leaders of venture capital institutions and founders of “Good Projects”.

Second, there will be a wide application of technologies. The event will display achievements in the areas of big data, artificial intelligence, Internet, mobile Internet, cloud computing, unmanned aerial vehicles, 3D printing, VR/AR, new energy, new materials and Medicare.

Third, it will include eleven high-level forums. These forums include the academician forum, college entrepreneurial and innovative education forum, i-finance forum and internet plus tourism forum, to name a few.　

Fourth, numerous theme exhibitions will take place. Ten exhibitions will be held, including science and technology exhibition, achievements exhibition of entrepreneurship and innovation and brand enterprises exhibition, no name a few.

Fifth, there will be rich activities in project docking, determination and industrialization. Activities like displays, promotions, releases, financing of “Good Projects” will be held to promote the industrialization of achievements.

Last but not least, there will be a wide coverage of news dissemination. Xinhua Net, with mainstream media outlets, will broadcast and promote the event live, establishing an online expo for the official website.
